How to make a Tackcloth

A tack cloth is one of the best ways to remove sanding dust and grit before applying a finish. One method of making your own tackcloth was suggested by one of our woodworking customers!

• Soak a piece of cheese cloth in water, wring it out
• Soak it in turpentine, wring it out again
• Drip enough clear varnish on the cheesecloth to make it "tacky" all over
• Store in a zip lock bag to keep from drying out
